The primary purpose of the Systems Engineer is to provide senior-level CICS/TS technical support (installation, implementation, administration, and maintenance) for all Fiserv IBM mainframe-based CICS/TS solutions supporting Fiserv's Issuing, Acquiring, and Payments clients globally. mainframe-based technical teams in a high availability and global environment. ---Responsible for the installation, implementation, performance, testing and integrity of a large IBM CICS/TS implementation ---Work with Development, Operations, and other technical teams on new and existing CICS/TS project implementations ---Maintain CICS/TS system options for optimum performance and availability ---Assist with the development and maintenance of CICS/TS standards and roadmaps ---Ability to provide global on-call support ---Work with internal and external clients in implementing CICS/TS solutions ---Supporting and participating in Disaster Recovery exercises ---Providing dump analysis and problem
determination of root causes related to system problems and outages including storage violations ---Working with computer operations to quickly resolve incidents and automate operational processes such as IPLs, Cold Starts, and dump processing ---Ensuring High Availability and performance objectives are maintained as required by customers and management for operating systems and for software components ---Administration using IBM and Independent Software Vendor products ---Experience with CICSPlex administration and CICS Explorer ---Utilization of JAVA based applications including Liberty Profile.
