Data Center Customer Operations Technician will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of Equinix data centers and will serve as a point of contact for customers. This role will involve performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and resolving issues, and conducting equipment installations and decommissions.
Responsibilities: Racks and stacks customer equipment Reads installation plans (Visio Drawings / Spreadsheets) and implements installation accordingly Installs circuits requiring sophisticated fiber terminations Resolves work priorities from a ticketing queue and ensures consistency to all contribute times Troubleshoots
switched / multiplexed / media converted circuits; escalates to, and works with networking group, as needed Works with customers to troubleshoot issues Installs/tests/modifies cross connects per SOPs and ensures accurate cable management of coax, fiber, twisted pair copper, and intra-building cross connects Installs and tests sophisticated cross connects circuits (switched, multiplexed, etc.
) Maintains detailed written records of all work activity Designs and leads cage / infrastructure modification projects Finishes the assigned training in a timely manner Supports customer happiness through timely and detailed order execution Requirements: 3+ years' experience High School Diploma Test

This role will involve performing preventative maintenance, responding to emergencies, and ensuring the uptime of all critical systems. Responsibilities: Maintains datacenter infrastructure systems in a mission-critical, high-risk, and high-reliability environment.
Operates, maintains, and repairs multiple critical and non-critical facility components, including HVAC (heating, cooling, and ventilation) systems, plumbing, fire control and suppression, roofing systems and exterior grounds. Has proficient understanding of critical facility components that may be impacted by failures or malfunctions of infrastructure systems. Evaluates facility standards and practices to ensure efficient operations for maintaining and monitoring facilities systems. Responds to emergency situations and ensures corrective measures are rapid and detailed.
Participates in the planning and installing of new facility systems. Responsibilities in facility and infrastructure maintenance include performing preventative and corrective maintenance checks on-site to facility components, repairs, maintenance, installations and on-site inspections to facility systems. Support energy efficiency measures. Monitor and resolve Building Monitoring System (BMS) alarm issues. Operate and maintain plumbing, fire suppression, and safety systems.
