As a Senior Risk Manager in the Enterprise Services Risk Office you will be responsible for working with technology business partners to identify and consult on potential risks to Capital One. role in enhancing our technology risk management processes across Capital One and driving project and program delivery.

You will collaborate closely with associates across all lines of defense, technology Lines of Businesses, and other Enterprise Services risk management teams to perform and support the work related to further maturing risk management practices. Tasks and Responsibilities include: Perform the end-to-end role of a process management risk advisor and leverage subject matter knowledge to drive value and informed technology process level backssments Possess risk management experience and knowledge of technology processes, risks, controls to influence updates to policies, standards, control description to enhance risk management activities Interact with business counterparts and other IT colleagues to ensure appropriate coverage of shared controls and/or shared processes Identify ways to improve and streamline risk identification, backssment, and mitigation processes Build and analyze risk profiles, and engage in Second-line Risk Management challenges Understand the risk profile as backssed by the business and other controls to identify trends and potential control gaps Demonstrate outstanding communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders across all levels to manage, inform, and influence outcomes Provide guidance to the technology areas in risk management principles in accordance with Enterprise frameworks Assess and manage follow-up on key risks associated with new initiatives and change management activities Maintain awareness of risk and control issues within the technology areas Evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of existing controls and provide direction on opportunities for improvement Foster effective partnerships and collaborate with technology and risk management partners Participate in risk and other management forums and contribute to continuous improvement of risk and project / program management practices Support direction, manage expectations, and may support/lead cross-functional teams through various initiatives, including oversight of third party resources Support interactions with Internal Audit and Regulatory agencies related to our work, as applicable Participate in and execute other special projects for the team on a periodic basis Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or military experience At least 7 years of experience in Technology or Audit or Technology Risk Management At least 5 years experience managing multiple projects and initiatives Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)AWS Security, AWS Advanced Networking Specialty, or AWS Solutions Architect4+ years experience leading cross-functional teams4+ years of Project Management or Risk and Compliance Experience Consulting experience with a Big 4 firm1+ years of experience in controls development, controls management, and reporting activities At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.
