The Sr Staff Engineer Mission Architect is responsible for leading multiple IRADs and proposals. The successful candidate works with diverse teams across the company and industry to establish pursuit strategies, define system architecture baselines, and develop content for competitive proposals and capture efforts. Performs system-of-system trades, modeling, simulation, and analysis to backss space mission architecture alternatives for delivering a customer mission effect, data or capability as it fits within a broader campaign.

Performs analysis-of-alternatives and synthesizes mission elements to lead to a cohesive space mission solution. Space mission architecture trades focus on payloads, ground segment, mission planning, Concepts of Operations (CONOPS), Design Reference Missions (DRM), system security and external interfaces. The candidate is expected to have experience working with multiple customers, a broad understanding of multiple engineering disciplines and technologies, and bring expertise to bare in the domain of mission management and/or mission control. The candidate is expected to have experience working with multiple Do D and/or Intelligence Community customers and will lead the team in defining system architectures including ground and space execution environments.

The candidate is expected to produce customer demonstration level capabilities including software as a discriminator in shaping capture efforts and proposals. The role ensures systems engineering standards are met, develop proposal technical volume content, and provides basis of estimate (BOE). Additionally, the Sr Staff Engineer Mission Architect is expected to perform independent reviews for other capture efforts and established programs throughout the development lifecycle outside of primary areas of responsibility.

The job will require work to be performed on-site regularly. Depending on the customer and assignment occasional remote work opportunities may be available. This position requires Architecture, Engineering, Operations Support, Management and extensive knowledge of network communications, architecture, security controls, compliance, and configuration discipline. Qualified candidates will demonstrate professionalism and the

ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced and mission-focused environment. This position is highly focused on a Navy Classified Transport Network environment that requires a rich skillset in IP Networking, MPLS, SD-WAN, Type 1 Network Encryption, Cloud Networking, and other related technologies.

This position requires qualified individuals already possessing an active US Do D SECRET security clearance. Primary Responsibilities The Classified Transport Network Domain Architect is responsible for: Applying Transport Network Subject Matter Expertise (SME) and thought leadership to the execution of the Navy’s classified network mission. group works closely with SUNet Backbone & Network Security group to provide robust high speed data networking services to the University campus. The LAN-E group provides LAN engineering and 2nd level technical support for schools and departments across the University, including the Graduate School of Business, the Stanford University Libraries, Residential & Dining Enterprises, the School of Medicine, and the Student Dormitories.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: The LAN Engineering team is responsible for planning, implementation, and support of a large number of data networks around the Stanford University academic campus. These networks include both wired and Wi-Fi networks in the student

residences, academic & administrative buildings, and the data center. The LAN-E group currently supports over 178,000 network ports and 17,000 Wi-Fi access points.

Network design ranges from " green-field" designs for new multi-building constructions to single lab expansions. Network support is provided through close working relationships with the SUNet Backbone group, the IT Operations Center, the Installation & Maintenance technicians, and the Local Network Administrators. The LAN-E team is divided into 3 inter-related and supporting sub-teams. The Res Net team primarily supports the Student Residences. The Academic and Business Systems team primarily supports wired access

in academic buildings and data centers, as well as ISP service to faculty & staff housing.

The Academic Wi-Fi and Greenfield team primarily supports Wi-Fi access to academic buildings, as well as creating and implementing network designs for greenfield (new building) locations. Each sub-team is comprised of 3-4 engineers and a technical lead. CORE DUTIES: • • Plan, design, maintain, and implement network access, security, and services. • • Manage network projects including developing and documenting technical network designs and project plans and procuring equipment and supplies. • • Monitor network for stability and proper configuration. • • Develop products internally in accordance with requirements of performance, suitability, maintainability, cost, interoperability, flexibility, and conformance to standards.

• • Perform network planning and design, reconfigurations, and equipment installations and upgrades. • • Provide support to other consultants in area of technical expertise. • • Provide work leadership, escalation, and training to lower level network specialists. • • Identify chronic network problems and develop solutions/repairs. • • Evaluate new equipment and research new technologies. • • Maintain the security of the network infrastructure and recommend network improvements.
