Directs the development of environmental policies regarding employee training to ensure staff competency and standardization. Participates as an interview team member or assembles a team for the meaningful interview of qualified job applicants.
Conversely, this position keeps abreast of internal employee relations and ensures that the use of appropriate discipline be applied should employee behavioral problems merit action. Represents DOH-Charlotte in all areas concerning Environmental Public Health at conferences with agencies from state, county, and municipalities to ensure that the protection of the community’s environmental health concerns is adequately and appropriately represented.
