Mechanical Engineering work with appropriate direction from others. Develop and maintain Engineering documentation for details, assemblies, and bill of materials utilizing CREO for the release of new
and existing machinery products. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES • Facilitate the process of new designs, changes and modifications to existing mechanical parts and subassemblies.
Mechanical Engineering with appropriate direction from others. Utilize Pro E Creo as primary software package for design. Requires knowledge of industrial machinery systems and expertise in 3D CAD. Analyze and coordinate the intended design change on all effected documentation to identify the full impact of the design change based upon form, fit, and/or function and relationships of parts as well as design for manufacturability. • Provide input for the quotation of custom systems. Analyze customer requirements and
estimate engineering resource commitment, materials and project scope.
Provide guidance to other engineering and support resources for the purpose of the quotation process. • Collaborate in cross-functional project teams to create, modify, and detail machine components, bills-of-materials, and assemblies. Incorporate input from sales, applications and engineering team members as well as contributing design concepts and ideas to deliver new systems once approval is obtained. This includes establishing timelines for deliverables, sourcing of parts, prototype builds, coordination of delivery and installation, product testing and training. • Process ECR’s/ECN’s for pre-release to ensure current documentation of all design changes and maintaining the highest quality of configuration management.
This is accomplished by creating and modifying detailed assemblies, bills-of-materials, specification sheets, and updating/engineering product data management system (IFS/equipment directories). This accountability will also include the checking of the ECN’s and drawings to support the change process. • Determine the need for communication and take the lead with establishing contact with key stake holders. Assists on sales calls in-person or by phone/video on more complex applications.
Provides BOM for ordering of parts/accessories. Provides detailed 3D drawings for installation. • Adherence to design standards in the department configuration and part libraries to provide a universal-working environment for all CAD users, which provides efficiency and reduces error when documentation is released. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree or Associate degree in a technology field or equivalent experience. • 5+ or more years of direct work experience with demonstrated ability to design parts, subassemblies and systems. • Must have working knowledge of engineering mathematics, strength of materials and manufacturing processes.
• Expert proficiency level in 3D CAD system -preferably Pro E Creo. • Strong mechanical aptitude with demonstrated troubleshooting ability. • Proficient with BOM creation, ECN’s and documentation in ERP/system. • Collaborative – solicits opinions of others to develop best solution. • Team player. Occasional travel to local plants may be needed for assigned projects (reliable transportation a must). Position will be located at plant in Streetsboro, OH. The Co-Op Program includes up to 3 sessions in either

Our products are utilized in the retail, medical, food, medical, automotive, and other industries. Our co-op and internship program provides students with challenging and impactful projects
for their assigned business unit. Each co-op or intern is assigned a designated manager and mentor to assist throughout their experience.
Interns and co-ops from multiple locations around the United States will share experiences and connect with each other throughout the semester. Additionally, the program includes professional development and networking opportunities with our leaders and senior executive team, cohort activities, social events, and a final presentation of your projects to senior leaders. This role will primarily work to support lead engineers in developing and testing control systems for automated bagging and inflation systems as part of the Engineering New Product Development team.
Majority of work is in electronic laboratory environment with other engineers. Responsibilities Responsibilities are highly specific to the project or assignment on which you would be working, but some of the responsibilities you may have during an internship at Automated Packaging include: Develop simple design schematics and PCB layouts using Altium Designer. Build and testing of PCB assemblies. Participation in team meetings and projects Preparation of reports and presentation of results to management Brainstorming sessions to develop out of the box ideas Provide engineering operational support.

Circuit board design modifications, circuit testing Embedded software design and testing Manufacturing test automation and calibration Qualifications Completed at least two years towards a bachelor's degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering from an accredited university 3.0 or higher GPA Authorized to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship Able to provide own transportation to the internship/co-op location Knowledge and use of embedded controllers from work, curriculum or hobbies Experience with hardware, debugging tools, oscilloscope and digital volt meter (DVM) Soldering and prototyping skills Knowledge of reading schematics, and data sheets, and microprocessor reference manuals Independent and collaborative problem solving ability Experience in hands-on development and troubleshooting on embedded targets (especially Freescale/NXP ARM and Microchip PIC) is a plus.
Knowledge of programming in C, Node. js, Python and Java Script preferred. Familiarity with software configuration management tools and defect tracking tools (Especially Source Gear Vault, Git, and Redmine) is a plus.
