Responsibilities Create personalized road system, traffic management rules and the navigation map required for an automation solution to safely navigate a customer facility.
Bridge the gap between the customer requirements and the technology resources to effectively deliver on the defined project scope. Ensure the successful installation and ongoing support of the automated production solution.
Collaborate during the Solution Definition phase of the project and create two-dimensional computer-aided (CAD) files for the customer to review/accept. Support and participate in the site survey and point cloud gathering process; combine the two and three-dimensional (point cloud) imagery to assist in determining the space required for the automated guided vehicle (AGV) road system. Incorporate this data into a Road System proposal. Work at the customer site to implement/refine/validate
the actual Road System. Work directly with the Software Engineer to incorporate blocking, itinerary checks, decision points, order and vehicle priorities.

Job Responsibilities: Learn and understand applications that support road system development. Assist in creation of road systems and gain and undertanding of blocking, itinerary checks, decision points, and order and vehicle priorities and the role they play in road system design Learn and understand Crown navigation technologies.
Assist in the creation and implementation of initial site navigation maps. Test/refine/validate navigational maps, adding any necessary infrastructure to ensure high navigational confidence is maintained throughout the facility. Job Responsibilities: Assisting a Fulltime Mechanical Engineer to provide mechanical engineering expertise in the area of mechanical design, hydraulics, drivetrains, motors, simulation analysis, or engineering testing procedures. Assist in the design and development of innovative forklifts and material handling equipment focusing on one of the following: Mechanical Design - Create layouts of proposed design ensuring that designs are functional, safe, reliable, serviceable, manufacturable, cost effective and esthetically and ergonomically correct.
Select appropriate materials, organize bill of materials data and approve detail drawings. Hydraulics - Propose hydraulic systems to satisfy
vehicle performance and reliability goals. Develop specifications to meet goals, design systems, and specify components. Oversee design activities necessary to develop, prototype, and launch an approved system and components.
Drivetrains - Introduce alternate drive train concepts to meet definitions or specifications. Perform appropriate analysis of proposed gear drive, including gears, bearings, shafts, and housings for the variety of operating conditions expected to be encountered. Motors - Research new motor designs, materials, and components. Research manufacturing processes. Provide cost estimates for projects. Write design documentation. Simulation Analysis - Perform structural
or stability analysis of proposed or existing product, structure, or component designs to ensure that design goals are met.
Analyze failed structures or components to determine probable causes of failure. Perform basic load and stress calculations and perform analysis using finite element analysis and fatigue life prediction tools. Testing Procedures - Identify the commonly-used concepts, methods, and procedures for the detailed development and analysis of experimental and standardized tests for new and modified products or components. Devise and apply validation procedures for components and systems under development. Evaluate new components and technologies.
