a subsidiary of First Energy Corp. [FEU]The Supervisor, Transmission Engineering Design is responsible for supervising a team of engineers, designers, and drafters. This position requires an understanding of projects relating to the design, construction and maintenance of transmission facilities. The ideal candidate will possess working knowledge of PLS-CADD as well

as an understanding of transmission design and analyses, wire sag and clearance calculations, NESC and OSHA clearance requirements, development of design packages, creation of bills-of-material for transmission line projects, and creation of standards.

Additional experience with the Power Line Systems design suite and foundation design is a plus. Responsibilities include: Developing and maintaining a safe environment for the transmission line network to ensure the safety of FE employees, contractors, and the public. Qualifications include: A Bachelor of Science degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering (BSCE, BSEE, BSME) from an ABET accredited institution is required. Acceptable alternatives are: (1) a Professional Engineer's (PE) License (2) a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Civil or Mechanical Engineering or technical field of study (non-ABET) plus an advanced degree in Electrical, Civil or Mechanical Engineering from a university with an ABET accredited Bachelor's program is required. Minimum of 8 years of engineering experience is required. A Professional Engineering (PE) Certificate is preferred.

Capable of communicating, motivating, and driving positive change and improvement. This position is a DOT (Department of Transportation) covered classification and is subject to random drug and/or alcohol screening. We are hiring qualified Journeyman Linemen to work throughout our service territory in Distribution. Open positions are predominantly in Ohio, however additional locations and classifications could become available at any time based on changing business needs. Journeyman Linemen are responsible for building

and maintaining electric power systems and for restoring electric service to commercial, industrial, agricultural and residential customers. They are expected to test, frame and set poles; climb poles, work in confined spaces; splice and terminate cables.

Our Lineman will have had successfully completed a federal or state sanctioned apprenticeship (with approved supporting documentation) and/or IBEW sponsored line worker apprenticeship. Work is predominantly outdoors and in all weather conditions. Linemen must be able to drive safely, work extended hours; travel/transfer to new headquarter upon request at any time (General Construction Positions), and wear company provided Personal Protective

Equipment. First Energy is providing the hourly rate that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting.

This position is subject to collectively bargained hourly wage rates and increases. The starting wage rate for this position is $44.77 per hour with a top rate of $49.04. This wage rate is specific to the locality of the job. The wage rate is based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, collective bargaining agreements, and internal equity. Job responsibilities to include: Travels to various job locations within geographical assigned region (for General Construction).

Reviews job work requirements and provides input regarding work for the day. Loads and unloads tools, materials and supplies into and out of vehicles at crew headquarters and job site. Lifts, pulls and carries insulators, cross-arms, equipment, tools, grounds, dampers, and other materials to and from job sites. Loads and unloads tools, materials, and equipment off of hand lines while standing on elevated structures that include: Wood poles and insulated work platforms. Climb poles using boot hooks or aerial lift.

Tests, frames; sets and/or anchors poles; strings electric power lines and install cross-arms. Hangs and energizes transformers. Take voltage readings. Troubleshoots problems and determines extent of repairs on primary and secondary overhead or underground dead legs. Work will include the use of hand and power tools; digging holes by hand for pole installation; climbing ladders, poles, embankments and towers; working at heights above 35' on poles and in aerial lifts; setting grounds; working with live circuits; and working in trenches, manholes and confined spaces. Sets and installs underground structures, locates, pulls, removes, splices or terminates cables.

Installs and replaces equipment, meters and streetlights. Operates hydraulic equipment including: drills, boom truck, digger, pole tamper, hydraulic jack and bucket truck once certified. Operates lift equipment such as aerial lifts and line truck booms. Operates forklift to load and unload work materials and supplies. Travels by vehicle, motor boat or off-road utility vehicle (OUV) to access job sites May drive a Class A vehicle (i. e. bucket truck and line truck) to and from the job site. May drive a company pickup truck or passenger vehicle to job sites and work locations, meetings and training and will may use vehicle to go to vendor locations and pick up or deliver supplies and materials.

Conducts daily vehicle inspections Journeyman Lineman may provide back-up relief in temporary absence of foreman; direct work to other crewmembers and act as a leader. Must attend all mandated OSHA and company training. Provides on-the-job training, orientation, demonstration and assistance to apprentice linemen. While thisposition has the same overall responsibilities as all levels for managing, monitoring and controlling projectsto ensure that they safely achieve the project deliverables within the approved scope, cost and schedule. At this

level the employee is expected to manage any project in the portfolio with guidance as needed from the Supervisor. Projects assigned will progress in complexity and variety to facilitate acquiring a breadth of knowledge and experience to become a subject matter expert and progress to next level.

The Portfolio Project Development role is tailored to lead the project during the project development phase. This phase occurs during the initial stages of engineering. The goal of the position is to refine projects to eliminate unknowns/risks by developing detailed scope, estimates, schedules, and execution plans while interacting with multiple internal/external teams. Thedetailed scopes, estimates,

schedules, and execution plans that are developed during the projectdevelopment phase will be assembled and transitioned to the project management organization forexecution of the project.

Responsibilities include: Providing a technical review of the project solution. Leading the refinement of project scope documents. Coordination of multiple internal/external support teams to ensure project assumptions are vetted and resolved. Hosting site walk downs and multiple project execution discussions. Determine and resolve anyproject constructability concerns. Reviewing project documents for clarity and completeness -- examples include scope documents, project plans, contracts, equipment and construction bid packages, requisitions, Bills of Material or Material Requests for Issue, Task Authorizations, and Engineering Work Requests.

Reviewing project and contract budgets for adequacy and completeness. Ensure budget revisions aremade and documented when required. Ensuring change management protocols are followed to maintain complete documentation of changes in scope, schedule and cost. Providing project status reports including recurring, standard and ad hoc reports that address thestatus of scope, budget and schedule for the assigned projects.

Also develop reports that identify risks with a mitigation strategy. Obtaining concurrence (or buy-in) from affected departments to support the proposed schedule andresource requirements. Supporting the development of detailed project estimates including contingency. Developing, with input of project team, the strategic and tactical execution plan for the project. Coordinating outage availability with operations and submit outage requests per PJM/Internaltimelines. Coordinating the equipment purchase/delivery plans to ensure efficient project execution. Forecasting contractor/internal resource levels needed to support execution.

Ensuring adequacy of Project Team membership and participation. Responsible for overseeing theactivities of consultants and assigned contractors. Communicating project goals, priorities and decisions to the Region/Corporate Leadership Team. Developing detailed project forecasts and ensure project challenge meetings, peer reviews andassessments are performed. Working with Project Controls to develop and update the project schedule. Identifying and notify the Project Team of additional resources or requirements necessary to meet the project scope or schedule Developing and maintaining project status documents for handoff to project managementorganization.

Developing and communicating lessons learned by leading a project review process. Supporting the Rate Development Process for formula recovery locations. Coordinating with Portfolio Management Team to develop the multiyear portfolio. Qualifications include: Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Construction Management or related field is required. Minimum of 3 years' related experience required. In lieu of degree, consideration will be given to applicants having 7 years related experience or 5 years transmission experience.

Related experience includes project organization, engineering, finance, construction, project management, planning or project controls. Strong project management skills are required with a demonstrated ability to develop, manage andcontrol multiple tasks.
