Participate in 5S and Lean manufacturing activities including material handling improvements, production line configuration, and safety procedures. This role must learn industry leading maintenance practices and methodologies to increase equipment safety, uptime, and performance. DUTIES AND

RESPONSIBILITIES: Supports company safety policies and performs work related activities in a safe manner. Make suggestions to improve safe work practices and procedures as appropriate.

Perform inspections tasks on production and process utility equipment to increase quality, safety, and overall equipment reliability. Train with Mechanic II, III's on correctly completing preventive/predictive task. Shadow and assist Mechanics II, III's with the diagnoses and repair of production and process utility equipment deficiencies and failures; to include, but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment. Learn continuous improvements tools and methods to improve equipment

reliability, may include root cause analysis (RCA), failure mode analysis (FMA) and make recommendations to prevent recurrence.

QUALIFICATIONS: Experience Requiredo Maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting required. Preferredo 1-3 years of food processing maintenance experience is a preferred. o Experience using lockout tagout, job hazard analysis, hot work permits, confined space, etc. o Experience working in a food processing environment and familiar with USDA, FDA, and SQF policies and procedures.

Education High School Diploma or GEDCertificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Required - Must provide own tools (diagnostic equipment and major tools provided by Sysco) necessary to perform all maintenance repair and diagnostics. Preferred - Formal training in equipment maintenance repair, installation, and troubleshooting of electrical equipment is highly desired. Skills Must be safety conscious and have basic knowledge of OSHA safety regulations. Formulate and manage an effective service strategy and schedule tailored to each client. Manage all Contractor relationships including – negotiate pricing and other contract terms, manage agreements, develop service specifications, client compliance, verify Contractor compliance, and remove/replace Contractors as necessary. Ensure a standard of excellence in quality and client satisfaction, through detailed quality control inspections of client sites and consistent follow through with all promises to clients. Ensure adequate (internal and external) staffing needs to service clients.

Effectively communicate all client issues with Contractors and the Director of Operations (or owner); promptly address any client issues or problems that arise. GENERAL FUNCTION The Maintenance Tech supports maintenance initiatives by serving as the primary focal point for communications and maintenance activities. The Maintenance Tech also coordinates both routine and major maintenance shutdowns as required. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Organizes work materials, writes

work instructions, specifies safety needs, and optimizes the use of maintenance labor to maximize the performance and minimize the downtime of all lab equipment.

Identifies and procures parts and materials needed for planned work orders and PM work orders. Writes purchase requests for repair and replacement parts, and contract services. Prioritizes planned, preventive, predictive, and project maintenance activity for assigned lab areas in concert with production schedules and equipment maintenance needs. Estimates labor requirements for all planned and preventive maintenance work orders. Conducts weekly meetings with Operations, Technical, and Maintenance employees to organize and prioritize maintenance work.

Ensures weekend/downtime activities are coordinated. Creates, adds or changes PM`s in Megamation as needed. Schedules maintenance activities with contractors on Preventative Maintenance on equipment. Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Associates degree in a technical field or equivalent experience 3+ years’ experience in a highly automated manufacturing, lean manufacturing/continuous flow operations Demonstrated a proficiency in the use of a Computerized Maintenance Management System Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams Demonstrated ability for independent decision-making Flexible and responsive to the needs of the business Ability to overcome obstacles and have the organizational skills necessary to complete assignments in a timely manner Demonstrated ability to be proactive in problem solving and to lead the resolution of lab equipment problems Effective oral and written communications skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as requested by Supervisor and Manager Ability to work in a combination of seated, walking or standing position for up to 10 hours PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Working knowledge of Megamations Computerized Maintenance Management Software planning module and inventory module Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
