Who You Are Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or closely related discipline. 5 to 7 years of relevant post education experience in engineering and prior traffic design experience.
Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification. Prior demonstrated knowledge and experience with local client protocols and procedures. Proficient knowledge of traffic engineering principles, practices, capacity and operational analysis, and project management. Experience working on multi-disciplinary projects involving roadway planning, design, and construction management; including project involvement in a variety of larger infrastructure projects, rehabilitation and construction of pavement, and safety management. Ability to work independently and provide guidance and leadership to junior team or project members, with strict adherence to QA/QC.
Proficiency with technical writing, technology, math principles, spreadsheets, and tools. Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies. Flexible to occasional schedule variation to meet business needs and able to prioritize responsibilities and quickly adapt to change. Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements. Preferred Qualifications Master’s Degree in Engineering.
