The casting process owner will be responsible for ensuring that the casting processes are performed in a safe manner as well as compliance with the methods, materials and equipment specifications as detailed in the Corporate Casting Manual (CCM0I) and compliant with customer requirements.

Job Responsibilities: The casting process owner will be responsible for determination of the root cause of any deviation from a critical process specification and for developing a timely and formal reaction plan which will include an escalating help chain system. The help chain system will include the notification of the local plant Engineering Manager and Plant Manager. Essential Functions: Develops and improves processes of critical and complex aerospace components.

Will work in conjunction with Manufacturing & Engineering to support the overall plant's objectives. Drive standardized procedures using the scientific method and six sigma tools to reduce scrap and rework. Report the Howmet Casting MSAT status monthly, to include critical metrics Ensures current customer approved processes are performed as documented. Conceives, evaluates and implements problem solving activities, cost reduction initiatives and part/process improvement activities. Maintains Molten Metal safety training records.

Job Specifications: 1. Skills and Abilities: Complete contract review of customer/industry/regulatory requirements, update training requirements, as required, and assure training on new/revised requirements. Ability to have oversight of the training and qualifications of additional Plant Process Owners and/or operators, including re-training when required. Ability to establish process techniques and/or work instructions for respective discipline. Perform an annual audit (no more than 12 calendar months), using a comprehensive internal or Nadcap checklist. Physical Demands: Requires the ability to handle and manipulate all sizes of castings up to 35 lbs.
