Job Summary Performs acquisition including system test analysis, system testing, general test support, quality assurance testing, hardware testing, configuration management, and system and software process improvement. Telework is not supported. Travel is not required. Responsibilities and Duties Provides system engineering expertise to the weapon system and weapon control systems

test and evaluation efforts. This support shall include test planning, test development, and test execution in the WSCI Lab, at land-based test sites, or onboard ships.

Provide capabilities in integrated T&E management, planning, and coordination teams, and provide defining and evaluating Measures of Effectiveness (MOEs)/Measures of Performance MOPs/Measures of Suitability (MOSs), and mission-level Test Objectives (TOs). Reviews and analyze test plans, test specifications, test procedures, and test results for compliance with higher-level requirements, physical models, and operational fleet guidance and tactics. Review and develop Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) that document

the recovery actions, mitigations, and workarounds for problems and issues based on open Test/Trouble Observations Reports (TORs) and Computer Program Change Requests (CPCRs), as well as Initial Checkout and Operation (INCO) lessons learned.

Provide systems engineering analysis, evaluation, and development of Targeting/Mission Planning Models and Simulations. Collect and import system test results and other supporting test analysis data into the SVM in DOORS to support system test activities. Generate and maintain regular updates of the SVM and provide the updates, Provide systems engineering expertise for system requirements familiarity and awareness sessions with system test personnel to ensure new system enhancements and capabilities are clearly understood and adequately tested.

Participate in the generation and testing of system requirements status, tactical hardware configuration, and metrics data for readiness reviews and backssments to include Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs), and other System Engineering Technical Reviews (SETR) event activities. Provide technical information and engagement in the maintenance of the WSCI Lab's supporting programs to ensure they are equivalent to the configurations for all fleet-deployed system platforms. Qualifications and Skills Required knowledge and years of experience Must have at least nine (9) years of System Test Experience in real-time Weapon Systems development or test and evaluation.

Must have experience with test and evaluation strategies, statistical analysis of data, and engineering tools. Demonstrated understanding of concepts related to system performance testing and methods of system test design. Experience with process development, management, and implementation (such as the Software Engineering Institutes Capability Maturity Model Integration process). Experience with Configuration Management (CM) processes and Configuration Control Board (CCB) support.

Experience with the use of simulations in a test environment. This will include failure analysis of customer repairs, both in the field and in the Sumitomo facility. This position will make recommendations to the customer directly for the elimination of failure through upgrades, reliability principals, and process controls.

The candidate will work with internal and external suppliers for the correct specification and supply for repairs considered outside of the technical capabilities of support staff. and post assembly testing. Field services to include mechanical oversight of gearbox installation technicians, reliability testing and failure analysis.

Perform and evaluate non-destructive testing and inspection, including liquid dye penetrant, magnetic particle inspection, ultrasonic inspection and hardness testing. Make recommendations for scheduling equipment and repairs, including the types of maintenance and repairs Assist in decision making process directly with the customer based on failure or process analysis of in place gear reducers. Know and understand common failure modes for rotating elements as related to gearbox repair. Familiar with basic industrial repair and maintenance

methodologies including coupling alignment, gearbox installation and removal requiring rigging, precision measurements.

Make recommendations for process and efficiency improvements within the Aftermarket Department. Assist field sales with reliability based decision making inputs to assist in increasing Aftermarket growth. Monitor, maintain and evaluate business reports to maintain and grow margins within the department on a continuous basis. Work closely with Sumitomo suppliers and Sumitomo purchasing to ensure the best evaluated parts and services are being supplied to meet the needs of the customer and improve Sumitomo margins. Evaluate all Hansen repairs to ensure correct bill of material or part number is provided to the Aftermarket Coordinators as well as the Aftermarket purchasing.

Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree (ABET accredited) in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology with five (5) years of experience in the industrial maintenance/reliability. Working knowledge of reliability engineering practices and methodologies. Knowledge of root cause failure analysis and predictive and preventive maintenance technologies and methodologies. Working knowledge of the operating characteristics of rotating machinery (gearing preferred).

Additional details can be found on our website at: /careers / Position Title : Splunk Engineer Location : Ashburn, VA Clearance: Secret Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Security Operations Center (SOC) is a US Government program responsible to prevent, identify, contain and eradicate cyber threats to CBP networks through monitoring, intrusion detection and protective security services to CBP information systems including

local area networks/wide area networks (LAN/WAN), commercial Internet connection, public facing websites, wireless, mobile/cellular, cloud, security devices, servers and workstations.

The CBP SOC is responsible for the overall security of CBP Enterprise-wide information systems, and collects, investigates and reports any suspected and confirmed security violations. The DHS CBP SOC Program has a critical need for a Splunk Jr. Engineer. This is a full time funded position based in Alexandria, VA. Responsibilities The candidate should have experience deploying and configuring Universal Forwarders and possess demonstrable knowledge of data collection methods such as Syslog, JDBC, or API.

This position requires solid experience developing Splunk search queries, and dashboards and reports.

Nice to have skills include Unix administration, scripting, understanding of Federal regulatory requirements, and experience using Jira and Confluence. Qualifications Must be a US citizen, no clearance required and in addition, must have a current or be able to favorably pass a (BI) Background Investigation to join this program. Must have experience in the following: - Splunk Engineering - Linux and SQL/ODBC interfaces - App interface development, using REST API's - Previous project management experience. - ITIL Change & Configuration Management - Experience with Ansible and GIT The candidate should be familiar with recognizing and onboarding new data sources into Splunk, analyzing the data for anomalies and trends, and building dashboards highlighting the key trends of the data.

The Splunk engineer should be familiar with a Linux environment, editing and maintaining Splunk configuration files and apps. The Splunk engineer will work with other Cybersecurity Engineering team members and will be required to interact with end users to gather requirements, perform troubleshooting, and provide assistance with the creation of Splunk search queries and dashboards.

The Splunk engineer will be required interact with senior management, as necessary.
