A day in the life: Organize, examine and analyze carrier mileage, fuel records and file information to determine the accuracy of carrier tax reports and registration applications. Investigate sources of information as required when carrier records are incomplete. Research and interpret laws, rules and international agreements and

apply these to motor carriers for compliance purposes backss under or over-reported taxes and fees and impose penalties for non-compliance.

Complete computerized schedules and exhibits using flow charts, narratives, spreadsheets and comparisons to support all fees, late payments, penalties and interest charges backssed in the audit. Document audit findings and recommendations in a clear and concise manner. Interview carriers to determine their system of internal controls for recording, processing and reporting vehicle operations. Communicate findings and recommendations to the carrier by fully explaining the audit and applicable laws, rules and international agreements.

Work is performed in a typical office environment. Hybrid work options are available approximately 80% of the time. This position requires overnight and out-of-state travel. Counsel and pre-qualify potential customers, including the obtaining of complete and accurate loan application information, analyzing such information, and advising customers regarding all aspects of the loan process, feasibility of granting loan and alternative financial products available. Collect and confirm the accuracy of all necessary supporting loan documentation, including credit histories, financial statements along with the appropriate fee and lock-in information, and ensure all loans conform to all applicable terms and guidelines.

Obtain pricing, secure and lock precise loan terms, and effectively communicate loan details and terms with clients; review HUD-1 for accuracy prior to closing. Responsible for researching products and underwriting guidelines; stay informed of market trends and developments; stay abreast of new types of loans and other financial services and products.

Responsible for understanding and complying with all laws, rules and regulations pertaining to all types of mortgage loans. Direct and actively participate in the interview, hire, and training of new employees with the assistance of Nova Human Resources and other functions. Provide regular input and recommendations as to hiring, firing, advancement, discipline, promotion, or any other change of status of team members.
