Job Functions / Responsibilities Leads or represents Manufacturing Engineering on equipment/process/product development and enhancement projects. Identifies and implements continuous improvement initiatives for supplier processes Evaluates supplier complex layouts and studies of plant and facility arrangements and manufacturing operations. Provides direction of time and work sequence studies and reviews and recommends adjustments to manufacturing
operations. Recommends procedures and plant arrangements to ensure proper material handling and storage.
Recommends design changes to improve supplier capacity. Supplier Production by troubleshooting technical issues related to processes and components. Identifies, prioritizes, and coordinates resolution of Production and Quality Assurance issues by involving appropriate personnel. Recommending resolution to supplier issues including equipment, tooling, and process. Determines and balances operations manning with production schedules, develops recommendations for operation times, and conducts various studies. Recommends designs and implements shop aids and fixtures.
Demonstrates professional and successful communication skills (verbal/written) with strong, effective interpersonal abilities. Works weekends or non-shift hours and travels as required to support supplier production and capacity issues. Qualifications Demonstrated ability gained through 3-5 years of experience in related assignments (preferred). Experience implementing new equipment or products required. Experience coordinating with and/or directing supplier/vendor activities required. Experience with assembly equipment and processes preferred. Education B. S. Mechanical/ /Manufacturing Engineering degree or appropriate major required.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Physics, Controls, or Systems Engineering. Master of Science in related field a plus. Strong track record in integrating high-voltage powertrain components in automotive applications (high-voltage electrical integration as well as functional integration). Experience in defining automotive high-voltage architectures is required. Proven knowledge in system modeling and describing key characteristics of powertrain components such as performance, efficiency, and lifetime degradation.
